No Longer Allowed to Interact with Adults

I am constantly saying stupid/insensitive things. I don't mean for them to come out that way, but they do. Last week at church, this week at church, this morning in an email. And that's just recent.

So that's it. I quit. I am no longer allowed to interact with adults. I'll write on my bloggiedoodle because that feels unconnected to real people somehow.

But with actual people?

Nope. Can't. It's not allowed. And I'm not a rule breaker.

  1. I'm only saying this because after the "ridicules" incident you asked people to inform you of such things, not because it bothers me. It's allowed, not aloud. :)

As for saying stupid/insensitive things unintentionally--just apologize sincerely and move on. If the other person continues to be offended, that's on them.

  2. Wouldn't the world be perfect if we all said things the way we meant them to come out, no one took offense at the wrong things, and it was okay to sometimes say things that NEED to be said?!

Alas, that is why we are here my dear! But glad to know I'm not the only one.

You can always talk to me. As I tell lots of people, "I may be offensive, but I'm pretty hard to offend."

  3. Oh, for crying out loud. Thanks, Brandi for the correction. *blush* I was under a great deal of emotional stress.

  4. oh, mothership, i'm not sure what to say, other than... i love you and i think you are great and i hope that you will make an exception and continue to interact with me. oh and also, i love to read your blog.

  5. Ask me to tell you the story about when I put my foot in my mouth. It was more like my entire leg. I thought about it again yesterday and just shook my head at myself-again. This incident happened about two years ago and it still stings.
