Grandma decided, based on her own experience, that a character breakfast was essential; essential enough that she paid for it! I asked her if she knew how many kids we have. Apparently she keeps track of those kinds of things. Not a bad deal for us, eh?!
There are many such offerings in Disney. We decided on the Minnie Mouse Breakfast at the Plaza.
Right off the bat, Eeyore stopped by our table.
Right on his heels, Winnie the Pooh stopped by for a visit!
The kids were excited, but a bit reserved at the start. Our youngest was especially timid.
But the characters had obviously done this before. They were careful and gentle until the little ones warmed up.
But then they were downright funny.
They didn't talk, but they got their message across. Chip (or Dale?) noticed that the older kids were rather reserved. He would have none of it!
Captain Hook was there, too. No idea why--no other Peter Pan characters were there. It was okay, though. He was funny, too.
"Hey, Tigger took my balloon!"
They weren't all funny. Minnie was so sweet. My little one wanted to meet Minnie so bad, but she was nervous. Minnie acted like she had all the time in the world.
Which is, I suppose, what Grandma paid for.
Well, and the guy who called us all "princess" as he spooned up our scrambled eggs.
Timid at first, but full-on bear hugs at the end.
Thank you, Mom. This was a wonderful way to spend a morning in Disney. No lines and plenty of attention by each character to each child. I give this a hearty recommendation.
